Sing! Dance! Perform!

The CCHS Vocal Music Department is made up of 5 choirs including two open Concert Choirs, An auditioned mixed a capella group (The Madrigal Singers) who perform throughout the holiday season, an auditioned treble choir (Tiger Ladies), and an auditioned mixed choir (Encore!). our school’s premiere performing ensemble. We also collaborate with the Tiger Theatre Department in a Musical Theatre Production every year in the Spring. In addition, there is a Vocal Performance Class offered each quarter where students can develop individual solos and ensembles for performance and/or auditions for Pops Concerts, honor choirs, colleges and outside performing groups. We aim to produce several performances a year including pops concerts, a recital of classical music, a collaborative Christmas Celebration, a 2-day dinner theater production, and have been invited as guests to perform with the Pueblo symphony on multiple occasions. In every performing group, we study and perform music from many genres from classical to contemporary, although we are primarily recognized for our award-winning show choirs. Quoting a former director… ‘Finding the Joy’ with each other through music is our mission.
