“Where Journeys Begin… And Dreams Come True!”
Welcome!
The CCHS Vocal Music Department is made up of 5 choirs including two open Enrollment Concert Choirs, An auditioned mixed a capella group (The Madrigal Singers) who perform throughout the holiday season, an auditioned treble choir (Tiger Ladies), and an auditioned mixed choir (Encore!). our school’s premiere performing ensemble. We also collaborate with the Tiger Theatre Department in a Musical Theatre Production every year in the Spring. In addition, there is a Vocal Performance Class offered each quarter where students can develop individual solos and ensembles for performance and/or auditions for Pops Concerts, honor choirs, college Programs and outside performing groups. A new addition this year is our Jazz Choir! It has originated through one of our student’s Capstone projects… and is sure to be a blast as we start this new 10-member ensemble (yet to be named!)
We aim to produce several performances a year including pops concerts, a recital of classical music, a collaborative Christmas Celebration, a 2-day dinner theater production and more! We have also been invited as guests to perform with the Pueblo symphony on multiple occasions. In every performing group, we study and perform music from many genres from classical to contemporary… although we are primarily recognized for our award-winning show choirs.
Developing skills, building community and growing as people are all products of doing what we love, with WHO we love… Together! - - - Sing! Dance! and Perform!
